Social Dance Contest

The Social Dance Contest Prelims will begin on Friday and occur throughout the evening dance. Competitors will be judged on how well they dance and connect with all ability levels. You will be judged by judges incognito who will watch you secretly from the side or actually dance with you. They will judge you on your connection and style, as well as your ability to dance with all level of dancers. In other words, dance with everyone, not just the rock stars, not just your friends.

The Finals will take place at 11:00 pm on Friday night to live music! Finalists will be randomly paired up. We promise you the best music to play with in a phrase battle format.

Strictly Blues

You get to pick your partner; we get to pick the music.

The Prelims will take place on Saturday afternoon at 6:00 pm, after the workshops. This is the weed-out part of the contest. The music will be challenging. No one is watching but the judges, and we're gonna make you sweat a little.

The Finals is where the glory is. They will take place on Saturday night to a live band! The format will be a phrase battle. The Finalists will be treated to very good music with lots to play with. We want you to shine in the Finals and to inspire and entertain the audience!

Registration for both competitions will start when the doors open on Friday afternoon. Cut-off is 10:00 pm Friday for the Social Dance Contest, and 5:00 pm Saturday for the Strictly.
