Mile High BluesFest is returning in 2010!
Denver, Colorado
March 26-28th 2010
And what are we doing to make this one of the best Blues Dance events in the country? It's all about you. Our philosophy is to create an engaging and exciting weekend for dancers. We've got some competitions and a host of classes, all geared towards you, the dancer.
Our classes are focused on improving your social dancing skills. We've got some of the most well-respected and well-known Blues teachers in the country here for the sole purpose of making you a better dancer. In addition to our bread-and-butter Blues classes, we've got some exciting electives, including a Harmonica class, taught by Ronnie Shellist of the Shuffletones!
Live Blues music is a vital part of the dance. And this year, we've got some fabulous live music! The Shuffletones are back this year! If you were here last year, then you remember how they brought down the house on Saturday night! They were such a hit, that we had to bring them back, and this time they've invited some friends to play along. It's sure to be a great weekend for dancers and music-lovers!
Even the competitions are audience-friendly. We have only two comps all weekend, the Social Dance Jack-and-Jill and the Strictly. We pride ourselves on presenting a contest that is competitive and inspiring, but doesn't take away from valuable social dancing time. No preliminary rounds will take away from social dancing, either.
